THAI HEPATO-PANCREATO-BILIARY SURGERY SOCIETY

It is considered important to promote understanding and disseminate knowledge of the liver, pancreas and biliary tract disease as well as to provide opportunities for participating in academic activities and the interchange of experiences among surgeons. Thai Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Surgery Society was initiated following the   rst meeting held on May 3rd, 2000 at Royal College of Surgeons of Thailand by a group of 14 leading surgeons to be a platform for sharing knowledge and fostering research and innovation among surgeons. Therefore, the surgery of liver, pancreas and biliary system in Thailand is able to continuously develop and achieve international standard. Thai Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Surgery Society was founded with the purposes of being the center for:

academic activities relating the hepato-pancreato-biliary disease educational coordination in hepato-pancreato-biliary surgery with institutions abroad
the exchange of academic information and research and educational enhancement
collaborations with other medical organizations on the hepato-pancreato-biliary disease
