A-PHPBA Foundation

A-PHPBA Foundation was established in 2013 aiming to support research, educational and training activities, outreach projects in order to advance the treatment of hepato-pancreato-biliary diseases and enhance the quality of hepato-pancreato-biliary surgery and patient care. With a goal of creating a corpus in the foundation, ten percent of the profit from the biennial congresses would be moved to the Foundation to support the following activities.

 

·           Educational, research and training activities related to HPB Surgery

·           Travelling scholarship program

·           Fellowship exchange program

·           Humanitarian projects

 

A-PHPBA Foundation is governing by its Board of Directors, which operates with autonomy, yet has ultimate reporting to the A-PHPBA Council. Below are the Directors of the Foundation:

A-PHPBA is incorporated in Hong Kong and has been granted tax-exempt status by the Hong Kong Inland Revenue Department as a Section 88 entity. The Foundation may accept and collect donations for the purposes of carrying out or achieving any objects in accordance with the Memorandum of the Association. We are committed to providing financial accountability and transparency to our donors, advocates, sponsors and supporters.
